Disable command + scroll zooming on Firefox
Hello world, been a while. I've made some computing changes - I got a new computer (post on that to come) and figured, hey since I'm making such major environmental changes, it's a good a time as any to switch to Firefox like all of the other cool kids are doing these days. In this age of internet privacy, I should at least try and hold something back from the big G
in the sky.
One thing that irks me about Firefox is that I'm constantly accidentally changing the text size. I tend to hold the command ⌘
key a lot, often hitting tab
/ shift + tab
to switch between applications. When looking at Firefox, I sometimes forget I'm holding down command ⌘
, and inadvertently scroll up/down, resulting in changing the text size. Doh!
This post had my solution: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/955305.
Simply go to about:config and change the mousewheel.with_meta.action
to have value 0
:
Apparently these are your options:
0: Nothing happens
1: Scrolling contents
2: Go back or go forward, in your history
3: Zoom in or out
That's all folks!
